In her engaging analysis, Pinkney will discuss how the continued inclusion of women—from all backgrounds—in the arts industry provides women with an increased ability to make a living, foster leadership, deepen cultural conversations in museums and other centers of engagement, and build community and access. Through a creative and pragmatic lens, Pinkney will highlight the power of varying experiences among female artists and their distinct roles as creators and catalysts for dialogue. A Q&A moderated by Karen Wiley, president/CEO, Arts Council of Fort Worth, will follow Pinkney’s dynamic lecture during a reception in the Piano Pavilion Lobby.
