Art Tooth Artists in Business Grant

Art Tooth is excited to welcome applications for the Art Tooth Artists in Business grant. Art Tooth will award three local artists $4,000 for art materials and a stipend to create new work for three Fort Worth businesses: Carpenter's Cafe & Catering, Casa Azul, and Pizza Verde.

Artist grantees will work with Art Tooth and local business owners to envision the size and scope of the artwork/artworks for each establishment. Additionally, they will be required to mentor and receive studio assistance from three college-level artists for a minimum of five hours in support of each installation.

All submissions will be subject to a community-supported panel review. The panel will include artists Molly Margaret Sydnor, Dr. Mary Mbongo Nangah, Art Tooth, and then owners of three businesses.

The Artists in Business grant aims to foster the continued growth of Fort Worth's burgeoning art community. In addition to awarding local artists the funds needed to create and display new work, artist grantees will have the chance to build relationships with business owners and patrons beyond the reach of traditional arts venues. They will also have the opportunity to mentor Fort Worth's next generation of up-and-coming artists, another crucial element in ensuring the continued growth of the city's thriving creative community.

Funding for this grant is available thanks to the Donny Wiley Memorial Fund at North Texas Community Foundation,

Art Tooth especially welcomes submissions from underrepresented communities in Fort Worth, including Black, Latine/x, Indigenous, AAPI, and LGBTQIA+ artists.
